Next steps after a housing tour: Putting a HOLD on a property…
So you LOVE the Place and Want to Live There? Here’s What’s Next:
- Choose a Property – Email caitlin@valleypm.com with the address of the house you wish to apply for (you can only apply for one house at a time). We will then email you the property-specific “Review of Lease Terms” which lists the property details, such as rent amount and which utilities are included.
- Pay the Deposit to hold the property (equal to the monthly rental amount) Click to Pay
- Complete your rental applications (each person should complete this, click the link to the left) – please only submit applications once you are certain you wish to move forward with a particular property.
- Send us your PDF forms (email to caitlin@valleypm.com) :
- Review of Lease Terms (from step 1 above). This can be signed together or separately by each person.
- Good Neighbor Agreement
- Release of Information for Rental History (only applies if you have rented off campus before/currently)
Please be sure to include the rental address and unit # that you are applying for in the subject line for all communications
We rent First Come, First Served – act quickly! Housing can be very competitive, so timing is very important!
Frequently Asked Questions
– Parents/Cosigners: Just provide their name, mailing address, phone and email. They will sign after you are approved.
– Pricing & Utilities: Rent and other cost details are included in the emails we send with housing options to the group’s main contact person. These are also included in the Review of Lease Terms for the property you chose.
– Utilities: Costs vary. Contact providers directly for estimates:
- Electricity → Eversource (877-659-6326)
- Natural Gas → Berkshire Gas (800-292-5012)
- Oil → Surner Heat (413-253-5999) or Kieras Oil (413-549-1144)
